Ingredients
2-3
cups
fresh basil leaves
or a combination of other greens like arugula, kale or oregano
1/3
cup
Pine nuts
or walnuts
1/2
cup
Olive Oil
1/2
cup
Parmesan-Reggiano or Romano Cheese
grated
3-4
cloves
garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
Toast pine nuts.
Place basil leaves and toasted pine nuts into a food processor. Pulse.
Add garlic and cheese. Pulse a few more times.
While food processor is running, slowly add olive oil to emulsify and prevent it from separating.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Feel free to add more basil, garlic, pine nuts, cheese or oil to get desired flavor and consistency.
