16ouncesfrozen or refrigerated bread dough or pizza doughthawed
1teaspoondried oregano
1teaspoondried basil
1teaspoongarlic powder
¼ to ½teaspoonred pepper flakesdepending on how spicy you like things
Preheat oven to 375℉. Spray a 9-inch pie plate or oven-proof baking dish with cooking spray and spread a thin layer of olive oil across the bottom. Set aside.
Using a whisk or fork, whisk egg with water to create an egg wash. Set aside.
1 large egg, 1 tablespoon water
On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out bread dough into a large rectangle. Dough should be pretty thin, less than ¼ inch thick.
16 ounces frozen or refrigerated bread dough or pizza dough
Brush dough with egg wash.
Sprinkle oregano, basil, garlic powder and red pepper flakes evenly across dough.
1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ to ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Layer pepperoni slices and mozzarella cheese evenly across bread dough, leaving about a ¼ to ½ inch border along all four sides of the dough.
Slowly and carefully, tightly roll up the dough lengthwise (hot-dog style, if you will). Once rolled into one long log, pinch the ends of the pepperoni roll closed and use a bite of the egg was to close the seam across the entire roll.
Coil pepperoni bread into the prepared pie plate or baking dish. Brush the top with egg wash and sprinkle with pizza seasoning, to taste.

Notes
If you have trouble rolling out the pizza dough or bread dough, allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before trying again.
